They were delivered earlier than promised. They look and fit just right. Now the true test will be this winter when the temperatures drop and we're on the ski slopes. They are touted to heat the fingers and the thumb, and not just the back of your hand. Mittens we've had before only heat the back of your hands. So we're hoping that these do what they're supposed to do!These gloves are good. My hands which get extremely cold in winter due to Raynaud's, chilblains etc. I had a problem keeping my thumbs warm. Again, it is me, the mittens are good and work as intended. My bought the wrong size the first time. They fit my daughter. She uses them for skiing and really likes them. I bought a pair for me and I do not ski due to my problems with cold.I'm a biker with Renaud's disease, so I've considered getting heated gloves for quite a while. I can really suffer after a ride in winter despite using a hot pocket, and multiple layers on my hands. The good aspects of these gloves are that they heat up pretty fast, and I get to my destination with hands in reasonably warm condition. By reasonable, I mean I can use them normally and not be suffering from wind chill. From a manufacturing perspective, they are well made. The weave is tight, the fabric is good quality. They feel comfortable on my hands and movement is fairly easy after you get used to the three finger part. On the x-large version there's a bit of extra glove extending beyond my fingers that can be a bit of a problem using brake levers. I adjusted my handlebars for extra clearance. Otherwise that's not a problem. The gloves are definitely not water resistant or water proof. After a decent rain, the gloves can get pretty damp and especially the lining is hard to dry out. So expect to add some water proofing to the material if you are out in the rain often. On a design level, to charge them you have to open a Velcro pouch, pull the battery, pull the plug, get the charger, plug the batteries, wait, then reverse the process. That's a bit of a pain especially since you have to do it almost every time you use the gloves. I haven't timed it but I think I get maybe 1.5 hours max at max power, maybe only 1 hour. They could have easily put a splitter into this glove that lets you plug the charger into an exterior plug. That would have been cheap and easy to do, yet nope not there unless you want to do it yourself. Next time...USB charging only. Every plug/unplug cycle puts wear and tear on the wiring that's unnecessary. The buttons that turn on the gloves and alter the heating level, they are on the outside of the glove in line with the pinky finger. If you are riding a bike, trying to turn them on is dangerous and difficult to do. So don't do that while riding. The heat level is good enough to keep your hands from icing up but still you kind of feel the chill, it's not a perfect blanket. On really cold days I add a hot pocket for extra warmth.Otherwise I like the gloves, use them daily on my ride and get good service from them. I don't know there's a better product out there for the price but there are design considerations that could be done better.Updated 1 year later. After only one season of use, one of the gloves has a wiring fault so the power switches off. Wiggle the wire, power off. Not so hot for an electric heated glove. It finally got cold and ski season is underway. This mittens are everything I had hoped for. I mostly use them when hiking and downhill skiing. The outside temps have been between 25 and 30 deg F. They run for about 6 hrs as advertised on the low setting. I occasionally set them to medium for a while to get an extra shot of warmth. I expect I would run them at medium with short periods on high if the temp. were in the teens. The heat is well distributed across the back of your hand and thumb. And the mittens are well insulated. Even when the battery runs out, they keep your hands warm. These mittens are a cost reduced version of a previous model this company sold. They eliminated the zippered coin pocket, which as superfluous, and the palms are no longer leather. I was concerned about the durability, but after several days use, I think these will hold up just as well as leather palms. One improvement I like is that the on/off, temp control button is relocated from the cuff to the back of the hand. This means hiking pole straps or ski pole straps won't press the button and erroneously change the temp setting during use.Pay attention to the fit and measurement info in the listing. I usually wear large gloves. I measured and bought XL per their measurements. It fits properly.I highly recommend these mittens. My damaged thumb, which is cold sensitive, especially likes them. Treat yourself to a pair. It's worth it on those bitter cold windy days on a lift.I ordered 2 pairs of these heated mittens from different “stores”, the products had different names, slightly different descriptions and one pair cost $10 more than the other. I ordered 2 pairs just in case one pair wasn’t acceptable. We ended up keeping both pairs because they were so nice. Although, the surprising thing was that the 2 pairs of gloves were identical, had identical packaging, user manual, etc. even though having different names, from different store/sellers and different prices. They were both mediums, but my husband thought one pair was slightly larger. The gloves are great for the price. We’ve used them a few times skiing and shoveling snow, the heat works well. The gloves come in a very nice box and are nicely packaged. Personally, I could have done without all the packaging, it seems very wasteful, but I’m still giving the gloves a 5 star review because the product is good.I bought these mittens to keep my hands warm at my new job.The mittens are good and comfy but the batteries don't last too long which is a given with most rechargeable battery packs.I do like the mittens and they DO work at keeping my hands warm. I just have to conserve as much battery power as I can while using them to make the warmth last. Plus make sure you use a decent power level and they will last a little longer.I do recommend these mittens. Overall I like them! Just a little disappointed with the battery duration. As specified in the users manual they were fully charged prior to use.I tried them while shoveling snow last night. Very dissatisfied with them.Set to high they were slightly warmer than a regular set of Mits. The best thing is that I can't return them as the are deemed Hazzardious?A waste of money.I have Reynaud's syndrome and no matter what gloves, mittens or combination of layers I used, my fingers were white, cold and numb in a very short time. Going outdoors in winter, even just to get into the car came with challenges.I have had the mittens for a week and I have been able to shovel the driveway, use the snowblower and go for a long walk on a sunny day. Next challenge - snowmobiling!I work in a cold indoor environment, gloves did not keep hands warm even on highest setting. Battery lift (as stated) only lasts 2 hours on highest setting but was hoping I could get away with wearing them on low setting to prolong the charge but still cold on warmest setting. Gloves only heat back of hand (as stated). These come in a nice box that have a carrying bag. The batteries come with a dual charger that’s either USB or comes with a wall adapter. The batteries fit well into the gloves inside the Velcro pockets. They warm up very quickly. They are pricey, but most out there are. The comfort is really great. My hands are quite large (not thick, long) and the XL fit very well with a bit of extra room, but not too much.
