These are my favorite biking gloves when the temperature is 25 - 40 degrees F. They fit snugly and have a wrist strap to seal out cold air. They provide enough dexterity for bike riding and grip the handlebars well.As a veteran commuter and endurance rider these are the warmest and most comfortable winter gloves I have had in the 30 years of needing winter riding gloves. These are great to 20F (I don't ride colder than that). They are also super supple and have a grippy surface. Having had several Castelli items, I have confidence they will last years. Friends have the same glove from 5 years ago and they are going strong!!A wonderful product!!!Quality is top notch. The feel is nice. My hands are medium sized with slim fingers, and the medium felt good, not loose and not too snug. Then on my first ride below freezing my thumbs got frosted. I wondered if a little more air space would have helped to prevent this. Certainly anyone with thicker fingers would find these too tight. I fit medium in almost all other gloves, and fear large would be too long. Also know that the Velcro wrist strap is short if you like to stuff your sleeve into the glove before closing. I have slim wrists and it just barely reaches. Most will need to run their jacket sleeve outside the glove. The materials and fit do allow for good grip and use of the bikes controls. Now I know that below mid 20's or so, I should wear my Pearl Izumi lobster gloves which are more cumbersome and I find much too warm for anything above freezing.Heavy duty for the cold and winter.I have 6 pair of winter cycling gloves and they are all too bulky and stiff. These gloves are flexible, warm, have padding, and a tacky texture on the palm and fingers to prevent slipping. They are now my winter gloves. Love them. This is my first pair of Castelli cycling gloves (I'm just beginning to get into Castelli gear now). Took them out twice for rides that started in the low 20F (11F with windchill) and ended in the high 20s, maybe hitting 30F. Started out a bit cold, but once I got warmed up, the gloves kept me nice and warm for 30-40 mile rides. Would think they could go below 20 and still keep my hands warm.My hands measure 7"from base of palm to top of middle finger. That makes me either a small or a medium per Castelli sizing. Backcountry only had the medium so that's what I got. It fit well, a little bit long in the fingers, but not excessively so. It was still easy to change gears, brake, etc. I have tried on the Lightness glove and the small fits great, but the small Chiro Due might be a bit too tight. If they had a small Estremo, I would try those. The gloves are fairly thick relative to other cycling gloves I have (Gore Xenon), but you feel that as extra warmth when you start out. The palm of the glove feels a little 'fleshy', like there was too much material there, but it didn't interfere with handling the bike at all.Great glove, bought a second pair as soon as BC had another one in. Highly recommended! These gloves are high quality, durable & worth the price I paid. They are not quite as warm as I had hoped, but warm enough. They keep my hands plenty warm in temps down to about 40 degrees. Because many reviews stated that the gloves run small I ordered XXL, which is a little big, so I’d say that they run more true to size. I do wear a liner glove underneath when the temp drops below 40, so the extra room is not really an issue. Other than heated gloves, these are probably some of the warmest on the market.Very warm winter gloves, these gloves are pretty thick, but retain a decent amount of dexterity for shifting and braking on bike. out the gate ran the gloves under the sink and completely waterproof, great DWR coating will see how long it lasts, gloves fit true to size, I'm a S in most all gloves and these fit spot on with no excess material in the fingertips or bunching of the palm. Do get a bit of cold chill in them when first set out on ride but as core temp comes up some fingers get nice and warm and stay warm.
