I bought these for my first time skiing, and I am so glad I did. I had never skied before so I wanted to make sure I had the right equipment. These kept my hands so warm and were definitely waterproof (I made a few snowballs with them on to test them out). They gave me a good grip of my poles and fit me well, even though I have child-sized hands. The only issue I had was that they were very stiff. I'm not sure if it's because they're still new, but my hands were strangely tired from wearing them. Can't wait to use them again. These gloves are okay if you are wearing them for short amounts of time - too and from the car in cold weather, going out to the mailbox, walking the dog, but they were not warm enough for skiing when the temps were in the teens. (They were okay when I used hand warmers inside them.) And they were not waterproof for very long (I used them when shoveling snow). An okay glove, but not great.I bought these because I liked the color and they look like they will be a great fit for snowboarding. I first ordered a size medium, but they were a big snug and stiff. Then ordered size large with intent to return the mediums, but when they arrived they are also tight in my fingers. I don't have big hands at all, so not sure if its just a fluke or maybe the cut isn't working for me. They look fancy but sadly I am going to return both pairs because they don't give me any mobility and if that tight I do not want to risk having cold fingers since I already have low circulation. Bummed, back to the search for a nice pair of snowboarding gloves!!I picked up these gloves for my wife, to match her whirlibird jacket. She's really impressed with the omniheat technology, both in the jacket and the gloves. She indicated that she's never had a jacket that "warms up so quickly" or that keeps her warm without overheating. These gloves work the same way, feeling like they are actively warming up once you put them on.The fit is great to prevent snow from creeping in under the wrists and the glove keepers are a nice touch. They are comfortable, and offer great water resistance. All around win!I bought these for my wife for her first ski trip. I went for these, as they were billed as very warm and she is prone to cold hands. They did not disappoint in this respect. These are perhaps a bit warm for late season skiing if your hands are prone to sweating, which can leave your fingers wet, and is about the only way your fingers can get cold with these gloves. As I have come to expect from Columbia products, they are well constructed and have held up well so far. These were very warm but the medium was tighter than expected, if you usually wear a medium glove in Burton then get the large so you can wear a liner glove. Love them though and they are easy to get on and off. These gloves seemed great but they are sized WAY TOO SMALL. I ordered a Medium and what arrived is more like a child's glove. If I reorder I'd probably go for a XL.I bought up a size just because I knew I would be buying glove liners as well, so glad I did. These are a perfect fit. These gloves are warm and comfortable. My favorite thing about them is the draw string at the cuff - it's easy to use with just one hand (or your teeth if you had to) to tighten OR loosen the gloves. As a female with the M size of the palm of my hand I bought the S size of male pair of gloves. They where too small for me till they got completely wet in the heavy rain. They adjusted to the shape of my hand and there is no problem with putting them on since then.
