Solidly built and will certainly keep hands and wrists safe. I was very surprised how flexible they are given the amount of padding. Great fit for my 14 year old too. To me it seems like they could have a bit more venting, but we will have to wait and see how hot they are.First, the description did not say these were boys. Second, the size small, which the small had on parentheses said 10", these are not 10" from wrist to top of middle finger.I liked these gloves they were very comfortable and my son has had them for a year now and there was no where.
