If I had been able to handle these before ordering I would have known they are in no way fit for my survival kit. I would not pay $10 for these. I could hear seams breaking as I put my hands in the first time. The materials are not even cut well. You can see obvious flaws in the cutting of the material used. I was wearing an $8 pair of thinsulate gloves when I picked these up at the post office. I immediatly put these on before leaving the post office. On the walk home my hands were freezing so I put my $8 Thinsulate gloves back on instead. I stopped at a fire pit we have in town here and tested the heat resistance and my cheapo Thinsulate gloves resisted much more heat. The leather on these gloves is the cheap kind that you could argue it isn't even real leather. The padding feels like a single cotton ball was placed inside. The label does say that there is a small amount of Kevlar on the part that goes up your arm, but it must be the crappiest Kevlar ever produced. You are not getting a tactical glove. You are getting a pair of throw away gloves. I might use them once for gardening and throw them away.
