These are almost the perfect workout gloves for me. They do not have any gel or other pillow type of padding, which has often created painful pressure points when gripping bars. The lack of padding also allows me to feel the bar so I can hold it better. All the while without pain. The gloves have three quarter finger protection that goes to just about the second knuckle, which is ideal because it allows me to completely grip the bar with the glove instead of partially with the glove and partially with the finger. I give these gloves only four stars because like the typical Harbinger lifting gloves, the fastening straps are worthless. I got the extra large size, and they fit my hands perfectly, but the fastening straps are made for a wrist of a small hand so I can't get them to fasten around my wrists. So like with just about every pair of Harbinger gloves, I cut off the straps and just wear the gloves without straps. This works well, because the gloves don't slip even though they are not fastened. I will see how these work over the next several months, and then give an update about their durability.
