Not the average pair of stick welding gloves. They have a padding around the hand that helps a lot with heat. I've only had them a couple of hours, but I've been picking up freshly welded pieces and only knew it because I could smell the glove cooking. Once they're broken in, I'm sure they'll be better as far as the fit. Just a little stiff right now, but I don't like how new gloves off any type wear. I mostly use self shielded flux core, and they're clumsy with that. But once again they might be fine once the leather loosens up.
